Chapter: Reflections

There is something revealing about turning our attention inward.

Reflections began as an exploration of solitude, vulnerability and the private worlds we carry within us.

These works are about emotion, introspection and those moments when we find ourselves looking inward rather than out.

Secrets in the Night by Shanay Manitzky, showing a woman painting Van Gogh’s Starry Night into her surroundings.

Dear Diary,
Secrets in the Night

Sometimes I think the worlds we create behind closed doors are more interesting than the ones we share with everyone else.

They are filled with private thoughts, daydreams and stories that no one else gets to see. In those quiet moments, I can be both the artist and the architect, creating a world that exists entirely inside my own mind.

Maybe some things are meant to remain secrets in the night.

Love,
Shanay x
