A collection of chapters, written in coloured pencil.
Dear Diary began long before the artworks did.
I have kept a diary in some form since I was four years old. It became a habit of recording the small moments, from noting that losing a tooth made my gums feel “lumpy and pumpy” (Shanay, 1992) to sharing thoughts and memories that might otherwise disappear.
Drawn in coloured pencil on raw timber, each artwork continues that same instinct: to notice, remember and hold onto the ordinary.
Over time, these diary entries have gathered into recurring chapters. Some celebrate the everyday, while others wander into nostalgia, joy, dreams, identity and the wonderfully untamed.
The story is still being written.
