A strong part of my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences. This particular drawing was drawn with high quality Staedtler pencils in my Moleskine journal. The paper is thin and slightly translucent giving it a beautifully smooth surface for developing tone and fine details.

Artist statement:
”I drew this when I was 23 days pregnant. I fantasized about being a mum and playing out scenarios like pushing a pram and buying baby clothes.
One year later I revisited this artwork with a warm heart looking over at my little girl as I drew in final touch ups.”

This artwork was exhibited in my solo exhibition, 'Mid-sentence' at Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough, QLD.

Artworks are best preserved out of direct sunlight behind a glass frame or photo album.
