Artist statement:

“I need coffee” unfolds the narrative of subconscious translation of daily experiences into nuanced artistic expression. At first glance, the work mesmerizes with its striking contrast between vibrant orange and monochromatic shades of grey.

Born from a late-night studio session of experimental design, Manitzky was taken aback the following morning when she visited her beloved coffee shop where she seeks her daily brew. Her jaw dropped as she discovered her experimental design was plastered all over the coffee shop.

This serendipitous revelation emphasizes the profound impact of our everyday encounters and their power to shape and inspire our creative manifestations.

This artwork was carefully drawn with high quality pencils on the prestigious Magnani 1404 cold pressed fine art paper.
