A strong part of my art practice is to journal my thoughts, feelings and experiences. "Unapologetically sassy" is influenced by the women who inspire me to have the confidence to be myself.

Artist statement:
After giving birth to my first child, I found myself looking in the mirror analysing every little flaw. But then I started to notice other women who embraced their bodies and exhumed confidence that I desperately wanted for myself. They are unapologetically sassy. I'm not 100% there yet, but this artwork reflects my progress in looking in the mirror and loving what I see.

This delicate portrait was drawn on Magnani 1404 paper with pencil and colour pencil.
